Kyaw Thu, Founder of FFSS, lodges solo protest

Kyaw Thu, Chairman of Free Funeral Service Society, staged a solo protest in support of giving back the nationalized land to the original owner who is alive on October 4. “I staged a solo protest because no one handled the complaint although it is sent to the President, the State Counsellor and departments concerned,” said Kyaw Thu.
The nylon factory sending different designs to neighbouring countries was nationalized and the owners were in prison, Kyaw Thu wrote on his Facebook.
The grandfather, the father and the uncle were unfairly arrested. In the military regime, I was married and I had to live at the house next to the nylon factory. I was gazing at the factory every day. The nationalized factories and industries were returned to the original owners in the time of military region. My father, my uncle and my aunt told me to see Aung Thaung, Minister for Industries. I went to see Aung Thaung, but he told me to give the factory to the other, Kyaw Thu wrote on his Facebook.
In the time of the NLD government, the President said that unfairly-seized lands and factories would be returned to the original owner in a systematic manner. Therefore, I wrote a letter and sent it to the President, the State Counsellor, the privatization commission and departments concerned besides the chief minister for four times, said Kyaw Thu.
I was aware of that the buildings in the compound of the factory, twice the area of the cinema hall, was being abolished and I tried to stop it through the Development Affairs Committee. It halted for a while. Now the factory area is empty at all. There is no shade there, Kyaw Thu wrote on his Facebook. Kyaw Thu posted a status and a photo on his Facebook. A photo shows Kyaw Thu holds a placard writing “Give back the factory to the original owner who is alive”.
The Eleven Media Group contacted the Free Funeral Service Society founded by Kyaw Thu for several times, but we couldn’t. The EMG said “If we got contacts, we would express the situation.”
