Rakhine-born magician wows audience

At the invitation of the Rakhine State Government, Rakhine- born magician Mr. Top and his son Harry staged a magic performance Thursday before a packed crowd in commemoration of the 43rd anniversary of Rakhine State Day at the Dhanyavati Sports Ground in Sittway.
“Being a Rakhine national, my magic skills have been known by the Rakhine State Government. They regard (my magic) as world-class performances. I showed some of my magic skills to them, which were highly acclaimed by them. In reply to my request to show my skills to Rakhine brethren, they told me to do so on Rakhine State Day. I am very pleased to have an opportunity to make my fellow natives enjoy a wonderful magic performance, which is given in gratitude.
Every individual cannot be delightful all the time. I firmly believe that people will be happy provided that I can manage to present magic shows mixed with humour”, he said.
Mr. Top’s performance impressed the crowd.
“To my great delight and honour, this Rakhine State-born magician showed his world-class magic at the invitation of Rakhine State Government on Rakhine State Day. We can have marvelous feelings on seeing such world-class magic shows.
This will be a thing of pride for us. I would like him to entertain people in other townships in Rakhine State with these performances in future”, said U KyawZanMaung of the HsatYoe quarter of Sittway.
Officials said after the terrorist attacks in Maungtaw in August, the local populace lost their happiness. With a view to encouraging them to lift up their depression and to get rid of unhappy feelings, such performances were entertained on the ceremony of Rakhine State Day.
Present at the ceremony were Chief Minister U Nyi Pu and wife, Rakhine State Cabinet members and their wives, Rakhine State, district and township departmental heads and local residents.
